Eric S. Southward Joins Busby & AssociatesAugust 1, 2007 (Houston, Texas) - The Houston bankruptcy law firm of Busby & Associates is pleased to announce the expansion of its federal consumer bankruptcy practice with the addition of Eric S. Southward as an Associate. Mr. Southward brings more than eight years of federal bankruptcy and consumer law experience to the firm. Prior to joining Busby & Associates, he was a Senior Managing Attorney with Legal Helpers, P.C., a national bankruptcy firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. While at Legal Helpers, Eric oversaw some of its regional offices and previously managed its Indianapolis, Indiana office. Prior to the practice of law, Mr. Southward was a marketing manager with an advertising and marketing firm and a pharmaceutical research company, both based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Although raised in Iowa, Eric is a native Texan, born in Corpus Christi. He now re-joins his family, who all reside in the greater Houston area. He received his undergraduate degree in 1992 from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, and his law degree in 1999 from Indiana University. “We are excited to have someone with Eric’s capabilities join our firm,” says Mike Busby, a partner with Bubsy & Associates. “Not only will his background in starting and running bankruptcy offices greatly aid our bankruptcy practice expansion, his abilities and experience will definitely benefit all of our current and future clients.” Mr. Southward will provide guidance on the firm’s bankruptcy flow and procedures and assist with advertising and marketing projects.
