Legal Assistant - Paralegal.  Immediate full time opening.
Consumer Bankruptcy or Family Law (Please note once hired you usually are assigned to either bankruptcy or family law, you generally do not work in both departments)

Requirements:

• Must have good computer skills, including a working knowledge of the Windows operating system.
• Must be detail oriented, have an ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Must be prompt and come to work on time.

Consumer Bankruptcy
Duties:

• preparation of bankruptcy schedules, bankruptcy plans and related documents
• interviewing and reviewing documents with clients
• contacting trustee's offices and creditor's attorneys regarding pending cases

Family Law
Duties:

• preparation of family law pleadings
• interviewing and reviewing documents with clients
• monthly billing and compilation of time records

Compensation:  Compensation is negotiable, competitive and based on experience.  The starting salary level for entry level candidates with no law firm, family law, or bankruptcy experience will range between $18,000 and $25,000.  The starting salary level for candidates with family law or bankruptcy experience will range between $25,000 and $32,000.
